Beard and Mustache Transplant
As in hair transplantation, also in beard and / or mustache transplantation, you first start with a detailed visit / consultation with the patient and after the planning of the whole, the operation begins. If in beard transplantation the operation will be carried out using the bulbs of the donor area, the patient will acquire a more than natural appearance.
The process of the beard and mustache transplant operation
The process of the beard transplant operation is the same as how the hair transplant takes place, but we cannot say the same for the quantity of bulbs because a very different density can be found that could show a difference from person to person. The quantity of bulbs that will have to be transplanted, as in hair transplantation, can change according to the thinning of the person. The mustache transplant process is a short and practical procedure therefore it lasts less than the beard transplant, but obviously it must always be carried out by an expert in order to avoid unwanted results.
How does the process take place after the transplant operation?
Immediately after the transplant there will be a dark red appearance due to the blood clot and this is only due to the increase in blood flow during the operation which is very normal.
The redness on the scalp will disappear in a maximum of 2 weeks. After the 2nd week, the transplanted bulbs will have a temporary shock fall (this is a normal physiological phase) and after 3 months instead, the growth of all the transplanted bulbs will already begin and there will be a natural, permanent and above all uniform result on the whole area where the transplant was performed.
Before Hair Transplantation
– If you have medicines that you use regularly or a chronic illness, you have to get confirmation that you can make hair transplant operation from your own doctor, before coming.
– Painkillers should be stopped 2 weeks before the operation.
– Alcohol and cigarettes should be stopped 1 week before the operation.
– It is advisable to get to the stomach empty, and it is advisable to avoid fat foods.
– Coffee should not be drunk on the day of operation (you can drink it decaffeinated)
– It is advisable to take a shower before entering the operation.
– We recommend wearing a buttoned shirt or something with a zipper in the operation.
After Hair Transplantation
– Do not wash your head until the doctor clean your head on the following day of the operation, follow washing instructions of your doctor for 10 days.
– The first 10 days after washing, the transplanted area should not be dried with towels and hair dryers.
– For 1 week after hair transplantation avoid to; stress, extreme excitement, sports, swimming, sauna, sex, alcohol ans smoking.
– Do not touch the affected area by hand oy anthing else for the first 5 days.
– For the first 3 days, drink a lot of water.
– Do not cut your hair for the first 1 month in any way.
– After 45 days, you can do all kinds of hair treatment (cutting, painting,etc.).
– Do not wear a hat,etc. for the first month.
– If you are going to travel immediately after transplanting, neck pillow must be used.
– The first 3 months should be avoid to direct sunbathing. It should be sensitive to too much cold.
